People mess up in life. But really major fuck ups are measured on the larger impact they have on society. Sometimes people screw up so badly that they alter history completely.
Hitler is probably the greatest example of that. The dude singly handedly destroyed the ability for any man ever to wear a mustache like he did. Think about that. One guy made it so no other human being will wear facial hair like that for the rest of modern history. That to me is simply amazing.
If you see anyone wearing facial hair like that there is automatically negative connotation with it. You could have rescued 150 puppies from a burning house and saved the life of 20 old ladies that were about to get hit by a dump truck but if you have a Hitler mustache you are automatically a dick. One person basically destroyed a single style, amongst other things. But it fascinates me to think about it.
So I was wondering is there any other fad, personal grooming trait, or product that is held in such a negative light through no fault of it’s own?
Wearing a single glove- Nobody will ever just tool around in a single glove because of Michael Jackson. Your right hand might get colder then your left hand during the winter do to some freak genetic thing, but you know you aren’t just going to wear one glove. You might get accused of being a child molester.
Driving a white Ford Bronco- The OJ chase was so bad for the Bronco model line that Ford killed it off. I wonder how many people tried to trade their white Ford Bronco’s in after the chase went down? Is there some sort of stat for that?
Has there been any other style or item that has been destroyed by how evil someone is?
